Mothballs
A young homeowner mentioned to an older co-worker that he had seen quite a few moths flying around in his clothes closet in the new home he and his wife had recently moved into. His co-worker suggested that the young man immediately buy some mothballs to solve the problem.
A few days later the young homeowner said to his co-worker, "Those mothballs you suggested sure do the trick. I've used up about 10 boxes of them, and in another couple of days I should have the problem eliminated."
"Ten boxes!" his friend said. "What in the world did you do with that many mothballs?"
The young man said, "Well, those little suckers fly around so fast, that I just can't hit 'em with every throw."
